How Business Works during the War. Episode 1. Datagroup and Voila
Processes. Finances. Operational perfection
We all know the importance of information and already understand the value of connection in times of a full-scale war. Therefore, we offer you a story about how big business together with the Armed Forces and the people of Ukraine successfully resists the enemy and directs its own resources to our victory.

On February 22, two days before the beginning of the active phase of the Russian aggression, Datagroup and Volia announced an advance payment of UAH 50 million in taxes. Datagroup is one of the key players in the domestic market of fiber-optic infrastructure and digital services. In June 2021, the company acquired 100% of Volia group of companies.

According to Mykhailo Shelemba, the CEO of Datagroup, a member of the SSA KMBS program, “The strength of Ukraine and its people is in unity. Datagroup and Volia as a responsible Ukrainian business cannot stay away from the events and threats faced by our country. We believe in Ukraine and its future.”

However, the active civic position of the company did not stop there. The next step was the decision to remove all Russian content from all platforms of Datagroup-Volia and abandon all software of the Russian company DoctorWeb.

The strength of Ukraine and its people is in unity. Datagroup and Volia as a responsible Ukrainian business cannot stay away from the events and threats faced by our country. We believe in Ukraine and its future

Also, all speed limits for data transmission for the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Emergency Service were lifted.

Another initiative of Datagroup-Volia management was the creation of a call center together with the military administration in the Kyiv region to help the population.

And since the beginning of March, an initiative has been launched where every subscriber or client of Datagroup-Volia can support the Armed Forces by recalculating their loyalty program bonuses.

All these days the company is doing everything possible to provide access to information and organize connection for all the citizens of Ukraine. As of March 14, the company had connected 330 bomb shelters and civil defense facilities in 18 regions of Ukraine to the Internet and digital television. Together with the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, and UNICEF, Datagroup-Volia participated in the project Learning without Borders, providing free access to online schooling for all subscribers.

Datagroup-Volia technicians work 24/7 and try to organize connection for Ukrainians even under the shelling and missiles of the aggressor. In extremely difficult conditions, successful emergency works were carried out to restore the integrity of cable and connection in Nizhyn, Kherson, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv region, Kyiv and Kyiv region.

In unity is our strength. As long as everyone fights at his or her spot, we are invincible! We are grateful to all the defenders for their unwavering faith in the inevitability of our victory!
